Established in 1981, “Dr. Manchanda’s Clinic” is a landmark in gynaecological endoscopy. Dr. Prabha Manchanda following in the footsteps of her father Dr. S.S. Ahluwalia (chief Civil Surgeon of Railways) trained in England and started this clinic to provide minimally invasive surgery and expert surgical skills, together with dedicated and personalized care for women. She is a pioneer in gynaecological endoscopy and was the first to bring TCRE to India.

The OT staff is specially trained in endoscopy procedures with a team of specialised anaesthetists. Training schedules for young Endoscopists are also available at the clinic.

Her son Dr. Rahul Manchanda after qualifying from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi, did his super specialization in the field of gynaecological endoscopy. Determined to see and do the best, he has been to leading centers in the world. He has travelled and trained extensively with the leading doyens of the field in, Germany, England, Scotland and France in order to upgrade the center in the newer techniques in minimally invasive surgery in gynaecology.

Dr. Manchanda has had extensive training and experience in the field of gynaecological Endoscopy. He did his diploma from the famous Kiel School of endoscopy in Germany under Professor Mettler. There after he trained in England under Mr. Anthony RL. Weeks a pioneer in the field of Gynaecological Endoscopy. He did his training in advanced Gynaecological endoscopy at the world renowned center in Clermont Ferrand, France under the able guidance of Professor Bruhat. He has travelled extensively abroad and in India to spread the word of Gynaecological Endoscopy.

In addition to endoscopy he has trained in colposcopy and related procedures in Scotland and currently is actively working to introduce the culture of office procedures like office hysteroscopy, colposcopy, LEEP etc.

He has received numerous honors and awards throughout his career, showcasing his exceptional contributions to the field of gynaecology and obstetrics. These accolades include the FOGSI Appreciation award for young talent and service for safe motherhood in 2002, recognition as the youngest recipient of Credit points by the Indian College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists in 2003, and the National Achievements Award for Health Excellence by the Indian Achievers Forum in 2004. Additionally, he was bestowed with the Fellowship of the International College of Surgeons at the 50th Annual Conference of ICS in 2004. His achievements continued with awards at the Annual Conference of All India Congress of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2005 and 2006. Notably, he was honored as an Iconic Healthcare leader at the Asia-GCC conference and Awards in Healthcare in 2021. Furthermore, he received the Honours of Professional Excellence and Distinguished Academic Award from the Indian Medical Association, South Delhi Branch, in 2022 and 2023, respectively. These accolades underscore his significant impact and leadership in the medical community.

Dr. Rahul Manchanda has been extensively engaged as an invited faculty member, delivering over 500 lectures both nationally and internationally. He has also organized and led more than 100 operative hysteroscopy and laparoscopy workshops across various countries including Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Dubai, Egypt and Hungary. His involvement as operating faculty at prestigious events like the All India Gynaecological Congress from 2016 to 2019 highlights his leadership in the field. Notably, he conducted the sole Hysteroscopy Workshop at the All Bangladesh Gynaecological Society annual meet in 2019. His commitment to education is evident as he has trained over 1000 gynaecologists in the intricacies of Gynaecological Endoscopy, contributing significantly to the professional development of his peers worldwide.

Dr. Manchanda has made significant contributions to medical literature with over 142 research articles and textbook chapters published in various national and international journals and textbooks. Additionally, he authored several textbooks, including "Key Notes in Hysteroscopy" published by CBS Publishers in December 2018, "Stepwise in Hysteroscopy" published by CBS Publishers in January 2020, and "Intrauterine Adhesions – Diagnostic and Therapeutic Insight" published by Springer International Publications in January 2021 and Complications of Hysteroscopy Diagnosis & Mangement by Elselvier publications in December 2023. These publications underscore his expertise and commitment to advancing knowledge in the field of gynaecology and obstetrics.

Dr Rahul Manchanda got the Global Hysteroscopy Congress’s first ever Asia Pacific congress to India in December 2018. It was named the International Hysteroscopy Congress and within a short period of 2 years is spreading its chapters to Egypt and Bangladesh. He has won many accolades and recently made a World record for the type of surgery conducted on a young girl
